Amazing job Bravo!
Have to say that is a truly magnificent conversion. Bravo!!! On a side note could you tell me what sort of paint you used for the (non sword hand) arm bracelet. Looks exactly the kind of colour and finish i've been looking for to finish a repair on a Bowen sculpt.
Do you undertake conversions for others? I might well be getting the new Sideshow Red Sonja PF and would like some modifications.
Congratulations again i love the result!!
Thank you for your comment, really appreciate the feedback !
For the arm bracelet; First, I apply a layer of Chrome spray paint. Then, I covered with a layer of transparent gold ocher from aérocolor. I suggest you this great vidéo from vince vell customs www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5A_m9...
What do you want modify about sideshow Red Sonja?
Firstly many thanks for the speedy reply. I always thought the coloured metallic finishes were a two layer process, thanks for confirming my suspicions, you can't believe the amount of money and time i've spent trying to match the gold on the Bowen modern Nova. Very coincidental that you mention vince vell. I saw the Titania conversion and was planning on asking how that beautiful metallic purple was achieved. I'll definitely be watching the vid as soon as this reply is finished. As to the Red Sonja,i'm not a great fan of the Premium Format; put clothes on a sculpt and you end up with a doll!!!(with the exception of Vampirella, which i adore) I'll be removing the cloak and would like to have the original shoulder armour sculpted. Also a minor thing but still something i'd prefer changed is the material sword belt. The dagger belt looks like it has been sculpted so i'd like them to match. Lastly depending on if it's only partially sculpted, the lower armoured 'flap' will need modifying.
Many thanks again
Ok ! You want the original red sonja, like this: nemedian.files.wordpress.com/2..., without the cloak, right?
I think the dagger is attached to the sword belt with a chain.
If you want to do it yourself, All these modifications are possible with aves: www.avesstudio.com/index.php?p...
Or I can do this for you, note me for that!
Yes that image is pretty close to what i had in mind. Thanks for the aves link. I have carried out a conversion not to long ago, my first. A Bowen Polaris arrived damaged beyond reasonable repair, luckily it was insured so i bought another one and used the broken one to create a Modern Ms Marvel, here are a couple of pics. You'll see the hair looks pretty naff, but in my defense it was the first time i've tried to sculpt anything.
le travail de peinture est superbe et que dire du bikini ...
